Mountain Sense and Avalanche Risk Management
The lifelong art of backcountry travel requires a deep understanding of avalanche risk management. Exposure and vulnerability to hazard are a minute to minute, day to day, season to season sum line of cumulative risk. Developing a fine tuned “Mountain Sense” requires a positive mentorship feedback loop. Telluride Mountain Guides is owned and operated by veteran local guides and industry leaders in the avalanche education and risk management realms. We can build a custom Avy Skills program that meets you and your crew where you are at on the learning curve. This is not a cookie cutter recreation course. This is a relationship with a professional mentor who can help you build proficiency, throughout the process, with appropriate guardrails. Give us a call to game plan!
